LoL at the syntax confusion earlier in the thread.

I think it looks nicer aesthically with bars that aren't as tall as the old ones, but I can see how it can be difficult for monks.

Meh, I like small UI for when I'm playing hero battles, now I have to choose between that and monking effectively.

As for the health bars, they are not broken as the thread title implies. If you prefer the old ones, by all means let us know, but this was a *very* small UI change, not a bug. Again, feel free to discuss it, we just didn't want anyone thinking it is broken/unintended.

Also, this was a change to the "small" interface size, so the other interface sizes are unchanged. Playing in larger interface sizes will obviously increase the bar size, so you may want to try that if they are too small in the "small" size.
i'm sorry but this "very" small change in the interface means a LOT for a monk. try it for yourself and u'll see how difficult it is to select the bars and specially infuse. and you should consider that many pvp players use SMALL interface to reduce lag. lag is not acceptable for a pvp monk and i'm sure you're aware of that.

i am not speaking for myself here, this issue hurts all the pvp monks out there. please put the health bars back the way they were or simply give us the option to resize it!

this reminds me of the update when the damage recieved numbers wee huge and u guys adressed the problem by giving us the option to costumize their size. do the same for the health bars and this way every person is happy. those interested by the aesthetics have their way and those who actually need to SEE the health bars properly have theirs.

Thats great and all but why change it in the first place?
Maybe you could add an option in the interface settings to have the small health bar or the larger ones?

I've also noticed ingame colours in general have been "tweaked" to look worse from my eyes and also various interface changes(REMEMBER THE LAST TIME?)

- Text chat has changed in colour(the guild green chat looks horrid)
- Text characters now are being cut off if you dont have the window fully expanded
- In GVG's the npc's look retarded(colour wise)
- Screwed with the timer location size and morale boost

When you select a target in various PVP modes;
- their health bar is smaller(see above)
- text is smaller
- now has another un-needed box around the targets name which is either red or blue

Lastly the nerve you guys have for adding more things for people to abuse within the WORLD chat system. I really don't want to know what everyone and their brother is using for a skill bar in public chat. Keep it to guild/team/pm chat only.

These sorta things seem to be happening every major update, and I'm sure many don't like it.
If it aint broke don't fix it.

Sorry but if i want to share i should be able to, like i said the people whining where i was when i got the update, give the people trying it out a break, they have a new toy and they want to play with it and share it,after they played it a while, they will play with it less.

I don't know if you guys ( Anet) removed it on purpose but it doesn't work in Local anymore. If it was intended i ask you guys to rethink the decision and add a option so people can choose if they want to see it or not.

I really prefer the old party bar over this new one. It is too narrow as is and makes monking more difficult.

/signed for having the old one back.

party window to monk is like football boots to footballer, don't think you mess around with it. I remember people didnt like the last change of party window too, think it put some yellowy thing to it.

Wow, monking is over as we know it.

/endsarcasm

Monk is the only class I play on a regular basis and this change is fine for me. In fact, I like it a lot better.

I like the new party bars, I think they look better.

Didn't effect my monking, I guess it depends on interface size settings and screen res.

Please bring back the old bars. On the small interface, the bars are just TOO small. The old bars were perfect. Now on the small interface, my mouse is almost twice as big than the damn height of the health bars!

Now it wouldnt be so bad if i could change my interface options to make them bigger. But i cant because many of the options have a minimum size in the interface options. To get them back to the previous size, i have to go to either normal or large, because the old size is actually somewhat in the middle of those two sizes. But then my screen is cluttered by the massive skill bar and chat box, which also have set minimum sizes based on the size of preset interfaces. So I'm quite in a pickle here, as I cannot find a happy medium between health bar size and interface size.

So PLEASE, give us back the old bars or allow us to freely change their size.

EDIT - Also I'll post screen shots later but with the update is seems all bars are change, health bar, energy,xp,casting bar, AND the chat box. However, the chat box has a small clipping problem. On the small interface, the bottoms of lowercase Ys and Gs do not show because the chat bar is to small. Please fix this in additional to make the bars bigger. The interface was fine before this. (Well the skill window doesnt count but thats a different topic - but its much better now). I'm not one to normally whine, but this just hit a nerve. I spent 10 minutes just trying to make my interface look the way it use to be, and it still bothers me.

Well, I take it back, it doesn't affect my monking at all. But I run in mere 1280 anyways.

I'm not sure where anyone gets the idea that interface size significantly affects your lag.

90% of my time in Guild Wars in spent monking in pvp, the new bars make that a pain. I like the 'small' setting for the small skillbar, but hate the new way the party window size scales with it. Please revert it to the way it was prior to the update, or enable an option to change the sizes separately.

I run in 1920x1200 by the way. The bars are way too small at that resolution.
